| NEAR SHORE - Sound waters up to 4 miles out in the Ocean. Very short run to the fish - 15 to 30 minutes. CHARTER SIZE: Up to 6 people - any age. Children and beginners welcome. PAYMENT: Cash, Master Card, VISA, or Travelers Checks accepted. REFUND POLICY: Trips will only be cancelled at the discretion of the captain due to bad weather. Parties must be at dock the morning of the trip. Refunds cannot be made in advance. TIPS: The customary tip for the mate is 15% to 20%. WHAT TO BRING: Jacket or sweater, shoes with soft soles, sunglasses, food & drink, sunscreen, camera, and cooler for both food and the fish you catch. WEATHER: Nags Head, NC weather is mild in the winter with lows in the mid to upper 30's. Spring is cool, summers are hot and humid, and the fall brings warm and gorgeous weather. NEAREST AIRPORT: Norfolk, VA is about a 2 hour drive to the Outer Banks. There are 2 local airports for private planes, one in Kill Devil Hills and one in Manteo. Both are about 30 minutes from the boat. There is also year-round scheduled air service called Cape Air which provides service from Norfolk to Manteo. DRIVING TIMES: |
